Like many great places, New York is a city of cities: It is constantly in flux, its population ever-changing. Each day over one and a half million workers commute into Manhattan, and of New Yorkers, one in three is foreign born. In a medley of music, conversation, and performance we’ll reflect on New York’s pulsating population, exploring both the conditions that shape its tidal surges and the personal narratives that result from increased-mobility and migration.
Performances by: Author Yelena Akhtiorskaya, architect Teddy Cruz, comedian Hari Kondalobu, American Balkan brass/jazz band, Slavic Soul Party, and more.
