Mr. Fitz offers a fun and welcoming class which focuses on improving students’ comfort on the drums, including the djembe and the congas. Mr. Fitz teaches rhythms from the Congo and west Africa, as well as rhythms from Cuba, Haiti, and Trinidad. Mr. Fitz’s class introduces students to different time signatures, tempos and feelings. Ensemble playing helps students learn how to play with one another and develop a discerning ear.

Please adhere to city and state guidelines regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. Safety is of the utmost importance at all of our events. If you are feeling sick, please do not attend. Please follow all protocols on site, maintain a minimum of 6 feet from others, and wear a mask at all times.
