Julia Gallagher

Project Manager

Julia Gallagher is an architect, educator, and project leader. With over 10 years of experience, Julia has held a range of roles managing and implementing design projects throughout the world. Prior to working with Van Alen Institute as a Competitions and Workshops Consultant, Gallagher worked with prestigious design firms in New York City including Rockwell Group, Spacesmith, and Slade Architecture. Beyond design, Julia has management and community development experience working in the non-profit sector with the Guggenheim in Abu Dhabi, Global Studio in Johannesburg, and Urban Think Tank in Caracas, Venezuela. She is a registered architect with the State of New York and a LEED Accredited Professional.

Julia has a BA from Barnard College and a Masters in Architecture from Columbia University. She has taught Architecture and Design at New York Institute of Technology and Parsons New School of Design and is a Team Management and Leadership Communication Coach with Landmark Worldwide. Julia currently lives in Bushwick, Brooklyn with her family.
