Future Ground Competition for NOLA – apply by Sept. 29
LOEB Blog

by Barbara Epstein

Just in time for the Loeb Fall Study Tour in New Orleans this October, the Van Alen Institute and the New Orleans Redevelopment Authority will be announcing the winning teams in the Future Ground competition to generate flexible design and policy strategies to reuse vacant land in New Orleans. Maurice Cox (LF ’02) is on the jury.

Multidisciplinary teams are invited to propose design and policy approaches to reconnect abandoned landscapes into a cohesive urban system with resources for the changing population, market and climate of the current and future city. Three teams will be awarded $15,000 to participate in a 6-month research and design process to produce implementable, replicable solutions that NOLA can apply to specific sites citywide, and that will help catalyze change in cities around the world.
