Members Event: The Snøhetta-designed Pavilion at the National 9/11 Memorial & Museum
Tour

“Our desire is to allow visitors to find a place that is a naturally occurring threshold between the everyday life of the city and the uniquely spiritual quality of the Memorial. It is important that people physically engage with the building and feel that it helps lead them on to other areas of the site and other thoughts about their experiences there.”
-Craig Dykers, Snøhetta Founding Partner

As a Van Alen member, you are invited on a tour of the Snøhetta-designed pavilion at the National 9/11 Memorial & Museum, which serves as a bridge between the new Memorial and Museum at the World Trade Center site.

Snøhetta’s Project Director Aaron Dorf will guide members through the pavilion’s complex design process, providing insight into how the site has transformed in the decade since Snøhetta was commissioned to create the only building on the memorial plaza.

Following the pavilion tour, Van Alen members will have access to the Memorial Museum and the opportunity to explore on their own.
