May 2018: The Color of Law

This May, join Van Alen Book Club for a discussion of Richard Rothstein’s The Color of Law: A Forgotten History of How Our Government Segregated America. Called by William Julius Wilson “the most forceful argument ever published on how federal, state, and local governments gave rise to and reinforced neighborhood segregation,” Rothstein’s history battles decades of public perception and misinformation and the myth of “de facto” segregation.

The discussion was co-moderated by Amina Hassen and Traci Sanders.
